Aion 2 Tier Transfer Rules and Material Savings by U4gm
The October 28 patch gave players more flexibility when moving from Expedition Gear to crafted equipment, but a new piece is not automatically an upgrade. Before spending materials on Aion 2 Items, take a close look at the amplification already invested in your current equipment and the result shown in the transfer window.
The most useful change is the addition of transfer paths between different equipment tiers. These options can make a crafted replacement easier to adopt, provided its resulting stats justify the cost.
Two Transfer Paths Worth Checking
The newly supported routes include Tier 3 Expedition Gear to Tier 2 Crafted Gear, and Tier 2 Expedition Gear to Tier 1 Crafted Gear. Both give players a way to move progression toward a crafted piece without assuming that the replacement must match the Expedition piece's tier.
That does not mean every transfer will produce the same result. Check the eligible source and destination pieces in the game, then review the displayed outcome and any associated costs before confirming. The preview matters more than the tier labels alone.
Compare the Finished Pieces
Start with the equipment you are wearing now. Note its amplification level and the stats that matter to your build. Then inspect the crafted replacement and compare what it would offer after the proposed transfer, rather than judging it only by its base stats.
Also consider the materials needed to improve the crafted piece after the move. A replacement that looks promising may still leave you short of resources needed for another equipment slot. If the gain is modest, keeping the existing piece while you save materials can be the better choice.
A Practical Decision
Imagine a player wearing a Tier 3 Expedition piece with strong amplification who obtains a Tier 2 crafted replacement. The crafted item has attractive base stats, but its current amplification is low. Instead of upgrading it immediately, the player opens the transfer window and checks the projected result.
If the resulting crafted piece improves the player's important stats at a manageable cost, the transfer may be worthwhile. If the preview shows a weaker result or the remaining upgrade cost would consume too many materials, the player can keep using the Expedition piece and revisit the decision later. These are comparison steps, not a promise of a particular transfer outcome.
Protect Your Upgrade Budget
Before committing, check whether the move affects the source item and whether the destination has the attributes you intend to keep. Treat the confirmation screen as the final checkpoint, especially when the existing piece has already received substantial investment.
Plan around the equipment you expect to use, not just the newest drop. Whether you are weighing a transfer or looking at Aion 2 Items buy options, compare the projected performance and total cost before spending resources.
