TikTok Expands Microdrama Push with Made By Us Studios Partnership
TikTok has announced a new partnership with Made By Us Studios, a content developer that describes itself as operating "at the intersection of Hollywood and the creator economy." The deal will bring a fresh slate of microdrama content to the platform and gives TikTok exclusive rights to select series from several high-profile creators.
What the Partnership Covers
Made By Us Studios specializes in managing creator-driven intellectual property and produces narrative-led content featuring well-known creators such as Teyana Taylor, King Bach, and Josh Peck. Under the new agreement, TikTok will gain exclusive rights to a selection of that content as it looks to build out its vertical microdrama library across both TikTok and its dedicated PineDrama app.
TikTok said microdramas have been a major hit with its audience, making the genre a bigger strategic focus moving forward.
Building on the Success of Screen Time
The company pointed to its earlier partnership with HOORAE, an Issa Rae company, which brought the micro-series Screen Time exclusively to TikTok and PineDrama. Since launching in April, Screen Time has amassed nearly 580 million views globally, becoming the top-performing show ever on both platforms. According to TikTok, this demonstrates growing demand for premium, story-driven content built for the For You feed.
The Made By Us deal is designed to build on that momentum by giving TikTok a broader range of microdrama content from creators who already have established audiences on the platform and across the wider web.
What's Coming First
TikTok said the first series produced under the partnership will be a romantic revenge thriller starring creator Hannah Stocking. The platform will also feature a new horror series starring creator Adam Rose.
Why This Matters for Creators and Marketers
The move signals TikTok's continued investment in longer-form, narrative content designed specifically for vertical viewing. For creators, it opens new opportunities to build scripted IP within the creator economy. For marketers and agencies, it reinforces the platform's push toward premium, bingeable content that can hold attention beyond short-form clips.
As the microdrama space becomes more competitive, platforms and creators alike are looking for ways to scale production and distribution. That includes building robust TikTok presences, which often means acquiring established accounts to hit the ground running. Services like z2u.com have become a go-to marketplace for those looking to Buy TikTok Accounts or find Cheap TikTok Accounts to support faster growth and content distribution.
The Bottom Line
TikTok's partnership with Made By Us Studios is another clear signal that microdramas are moving from experiment to core content strategy. With exclusive creator-led series, a dedicated PineDrama app, and proven demand from audiences, TikTok is betting big on serialized storytelling. Expect more deals like this as the platform continues to blur the line between social media and streaming entertainment.
