U4GM Forza Horizon 6: What Treasure Cars Unlock
Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are the kind of rewards you'll want to chase early, mostly because they don't behave like normal garage unlocks. They're not sitting in the Autoshow, they're not locked behind a championship, and you won't buy them with credits. They're just out there, tucked into Japan's roads, coastlines, rail lines, and mountain paths. If you're building a serious collection of FH6 Cars, these nine hidden vehicles are worth grabbing as soon as free roam opens up. You'll usually get a radio hint from Mei when you're close, but the game won't exactly hold your hand. That's part of the fun, and part of the problem.
How the hidden car system works
Treasure Cars are simpler than Barn Finds, but they can be easier to miss. There's one hidden vehicle in each major region, making nine in total. You don't need a special rank, season, or story chapter. Just drive near the right spot, wait for the rumour to trigger, then collect the car with the on-screen prompt. A short scene plays, and after that it's yours to drive or store. Drone mode helps a lot, especially in forested places or around tight mountain roads. Use it when the terrain starts hiding roads, buildings, towers, or railway edges from view.
Where to start looking
In Tokyo City, the 1991 Nissan Figaro waits near the southern shoreline, close to the western bridge that leads toward the Drift Club island, in a small coastal parking area. Over in Minamino, the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is far easier to spot. Head to the golf course entrance and check behind the 365 store by the clubhouse. The 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE in Ohtani takes more patience. Look along the western side of the region near Shimanoyama, where three red towers, one larger white tower, and a wooden house sit close together. The car is near the southeast side of that tower group.
Mountain, rail, and coast clues
The 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo is up in northeast Ito, near the wind farm. Follow the dirt climb past the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find area, then watch for turbine bases, railings, and service boxes. The Safari is parked near one of them, not far southwest of the drift zone. In northern Shimanoyama, the 1987 Porsche 959 is outside a 365 store in Narai-Juku, after driving northwest from the stadium. For Nangan, don't rush the main road. The 2005 Ford GT is hidden down a narrow coastal trail in the far southeast, near a yellow roadside sign and a viewpoint facing Tokyo.
Finishing the full set
Hokubu's 1981 BMW M1 is best found by using the railway as your guide. Follow the tracks toward the northern farmland, close to the Takashiro border and the Ascent race area. In Takashiro, the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR sits near the waterfall stream, reached by taking the dirt route past a torii gate and temple road. The last one, the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, is in snowy Sotoyama beside a wooden lodge on the Tateyama Alpine pass, west of Hakusan Mountain Lodge. Collecting them all adds nine exclusive Forza Horizon 6 Cars to your garage, plus an emblem and platform achievement for the set.
