Durability Performance

Chloride Resistance
LC3 systems have demonstrated 55–90% reductions in chloride migration coefficients. LC3 mortars showed superior resistance to chloride ingress.

LC3 demonstrates 39–55% decreases in sorptivity.

Corrosion Resistance

Workability Considerations

LC3 blends incorporate more aluminum into C-S-H than Portland cement, forming C-A-S-H. However, slump retention performance of concrete with LC3 is poorer than concrete prepared with OPC, requiring careful mixture design.
